It is one of our favourite feelings knowing we have achieved something we have worked tirelessly for, or have helped make someone else feel better. The rush of pleasure and satisfaction is just so scrumptious that we want to share it with everyone.

Surround ourselves and others with positivity

Laughter and smiling is infectious. We all have had those moments when our bestie is in fits of laughter telling a story which we can not understand through the hysteria, but we end up laughing anyways. Positive vibes have a ripple effect. A smile can change someone’s day from miserable to satisfying in seconds. Get rid of the negativity, Ain’t nobody got time for that!

Accept praise and compliments
Take a step back and look at our lives and take note of what is working. Don't push away something just because it has imperfections. When good things happen, however small it may be, enjoy it! When someone tells us we look good or have helped them is some way. Accept the gratitude, don’t just shrug it off. 

Set your goals and go for it girl
Do not be afraid to look at what you really want and see yourself getting it. Every successful journey starts with a single step. Many people avoid this process because they don't want to be disappointed if things don't work out. If it doesn’t, brush it off and try again. Nothing worth having comes easy. 

It is not selfish to push yourself
It is easy to feel that someone else is responsible for our happiness or fulfilment, when the reality is that it is really our achievement. Once we realise that, we have the power to get where we want to go. If we stop blaming others or the world, the answers we are looking for will come much sooner. We control our paths, so let’s take the scenic route and enjoy our achievements.

Sometimes change is scary, but it is necessary
Even if it does not feel good or you simply do not want anything to change, it is the one thing you can count on. Change will always happen, so make contingency plans and learn from the things that maybe have not gone the way we planned.

Enjoy the simplicities every once in awhile
Appreciate those who love us, all our treasured memories, personal jokes that no one else will ever understand, or even that 5 minutes of much needed peace. These are the simple things that we sometimes take for granted but they are the gifts that keep on giving without expectation.
