The Autumn Survival Guide

The leaves are changing colour and the air is becoming more crisp, this can only mean one thing, ** said in the voice of Jon Snow** Autumn is coming!

We have spent all summer sculpting our bodies, protecting our skin and enjoying the sun. Although it is hibernation weather, we should not neglect ourselves, our bodies still need some serious TLC during the colder months.

So we have an Autumn Survival Guide for you to help you keep your glow without that sun kissed effect.

1. Hair

Treat yourself to a haircut to trim away the damage done by the sun, and salt and chlorinated water. This is also the perfect time to start nourishing your locks in order to prevent the damage winter can do.

Tip: Apply coconut oil to your hair once a week for a luxurious shine and deep moisture treatment without any harsh chemicals!

2. Skin

Prepare your skin for the colder months by getting into a regular moisturising routine. Now is the time to switch to a richer, creamier moisturiser. The cold, harsh air will dry out the skin and become dry and flaky. Remember to exfoliate first so you remove any dead skin cells and so that your skin can easily absorb the moisture.

Tip: Prevent dryness and flakiness by using a hydrating face mask or serum on a regular basis. Do not forget to still apply sunscreen. Just because the temperature may be low, does not mean the UV rays will be less detrimental.

3. Eyes

Cooler weather can dry our skins, especially the tender, delicate skin under your eyes. Make sure you use a moisturiser specifically for eyes.

Tip: Get rid of dark circles and puffiness by applying cool teabags, cucumber or coconut oil to the sensitive areas. Take care not to get it in your eyes!

4. Hands & Nails

Your hands are constantly exposed and can suffer from dryness in the colder season, especially around your joints. Keep them soft and hydrated by regularly applying hand cream.

The colder air can also make your nails more brittle, so be sure to file them at least once a week to avoid breakage.

  1. Nutrition

In the cold weather, the craving for heartier foods is something we all get (if we are honest). The appeal of salads disappears with the heat!

Here we have an awesome recipe for Apple Pie Porridge that will keep your energy levels and metabolism functioning throughout the day.


2 medium peeled and diced apples.

2 heaped tablespoons of raisins.

¼ teaspoon of cinnamon.

400mls of sugar free apple juice (if you can press your own, that would be fabulous!).

100g rolled oats.

200ml of water, coconut or almond milk.

2 tsps of Oh My Glow Beauty Blend


Place the diced apple, raisins, cinnamon and apple juice in a saucepan, place the lid on, and  cook on a high heat for 3-4 minutes.

Add in the oats, Beauty Blend and water/milk and simmer for a further 2 minutes.

Serve in bowls and sprinkle with a little cinnamon for extra flavour if desired.

The Secret to Clear Skin


We all want it.

We all have struggled with it. 

It seems nearly impossible some days.



Good morning Beauties!

Today we're talking skin issues, because NO ONE has time for those. But, in all reality, acne, sensitivity, breakouts, dullness, and drying are just some of the issues many of us deal with on a daily basis. I'm sure you know by now that there is (unfortunately) no magic miracle to clearing up these pesky problems, BUT, there are ways to help ensure that you are doing the best by your skin. Here's how:

1. Invest in a good skin care regimen!

--Yes they're pricey, no, you won't see dramatic solve-all-problems results overnight, and YES, they take time, effort, and consistency to see improvement, but guess what..? Your skin is a living, breathing organ just like your insides, so we need to understand the importance of nourishing the inside AND the outside of it to see our best selves. We suggest a gentle cleanser, a toner to exfoliate and prep the skin, and a moisturizer at minimum. 

2. Up your water intake!

--Like mentioned above, your skin is an organ. Your body is composed of mostly water. If you are not intaking enough water to support your body's function, you skin can easily become dull, dry, breakout-prone, and age much quicker. We recommend intaking at minimum 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water each day. It doesn't hurt your digestive system either;)

3. Nourish from the inside to GLOW from the outside!

--This is our MANTRA! Packing your day full of nutrients and meaningful foods will help to ensure you are putting your best face forward! If you are filling your body with overly processed, high fat, high sugar, high salt foods, you are NOT doing the best by your skin (Or your tummy!) 4. Lather on that sunscreen!

Yes, it looks good, but the bad side effects of a "good burn" will outweigh the "perfect glow" you see for just a few days after. Do your FUTURE self a favor and skip the oil, tanning beds, and rays. Apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before sun exposure and every 2 hours thereafter. You'll thank yourself later :)
